What to Expect and After Care Instructions

For Homeowner:

• You should expect your pool water to be cloudy for up to 48 hours. 
• During the cleaning process Lonestar Pools will vacuum blast media and particulate calcium from your pool. We will remove 95% of the media used.  The remaining will dissolve without any effects to your pool.    
• For pools with stone, some stone dust will be introduced to your pool and will cause additional cloudiness.  Clarifier chemicals can be used to assist with clearing up the water.
• You will need to keep your pool equipment running for 48 hours.  
• Backwash filters once per day for 2 days.   
• If you have cartridge filters we recommend cleaning after 48 hours. 
• Automatic pool vacuum can be started as soon as pool equipment is started. 
• Some of the calcium removed from the tile and stone will be reintroduced into the pool.  Have your pool care company test for hardness and perform recommendations.
